One of the most important determinants of the trim level you choose is how much power each one gives you. With the LX and EX, you’ll get a 2.4L I-4 engine that produces 181 hp. But, if you upgrade to the SX Turbo, you’ll get a 2.0L Turbocharged I-4 that gives you the ability to produce 240 hp.
If you want a bit more power, then you should choose the upper trim level, the SX Turbo. As the name suggests, this trim level comes with a turbocharged engine, giving you a bit more acceleration power than the lower trim levels. All trim levels of the 2017 Kia Sportage have refined handling and impressive performance. Plus, all model grades have the availability of adding the AWD system.
Another consideration is what kind of design elements each trim affords. This can be a major factor when selecting your trim. In the SX Turbo, you can get satin chrome door handle and side-sill trims. This isn’t available in the other trims. Likewise, the EX trim will allow you to have a front grille in gloss black and bright chrome. The LX will allow you to have a matte black and bright chrome. You can choose to add available upgrades on lower trim levels to get some of the details that the upper trim level will have, but you will have to choose the trim depending on what features and design additions are most important to you.
No matter which trim you choose, the 2017 Kia Sportage LX, EX, and SX Turbo are great vehicles that give you an array of choices and features from which to choose.
