The sophisticated Sorento is back for 2019 after a full redesign complete with new standard features, a fresh new look and refined handling. From the Sorento's sleek styling to its high-tech interior, every detail of the new model has been refined. In fact, one of the most noticeable updates on the Sorento is the crossover SUV's new, athletic styling further accentuated by the model's confident stance.

Similar to the 2018 model, the 2019 Sorento is available in five trims, including the L, LX, EX, SX and SXL. If you're looking for Sorento with bit more features than the base L model, we recommend the EX or SX. But what exactly is the difference between the two?

Introducing the all-new 2019 Kia Sorento!

At the heart of the 2019 Kia Sorento is either a refined 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder or a 3.3-liter V6 with an all-new 8-speed automatic transmission. Kia has hinted that a new diesel engine is also in the works for the 2019 Sorento. In addition, the 2019 Kia Sorento also replaces its former Driver Mode Select with a new Smart Shift & Drive technology. With that said, the most significant differences between the 2019 Kia Sorento EX and SX are the features and engine options available.

Every 2019 Kia Sorento model, except for the L, is available with the optional 3.3-liter V6 engine. Only the SX and SX Limited receive it as a standard engine. In terms of features, the EX and SX carry over nearly everything from the previous trims, including a rearview camera, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, heated front seats and much more.

The EX trim also adds a variety of features of its own, including a hands-free liftgate, power-folding mirrors, leather upholstery, keyless ignition and entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and much more. Moving on to the SX carries over all the entertainment and convenience features from the EX and adds a panoramic sunroof, automatic wipers, driver-seat memory settings, an 8-inch touchscreen and much more.
